The types of issues, questions and concerns that parents bring are wide-ranging and include:
‘My daughter is academically very capable and attends a leading boarding school. She seems confident to her teachers but underneath, she is highly anxious. What can we do to help her?’.
‘My son is autistic and has ADHD. We are unsure what support and adjustments he needs to thrive. Can you advise us and his school on what needs to be in place?’.
‘Due to illness, my child is unable to attend school but still wants to do her GCSEs. Can you explain what the options are?’.
‘We are considering educating our child at home. Can you design a package to meet her needs?’.
‘My child needs an assessment but I don’t know who to go to and what to ask for. ADHD has been mentioned as a possibility, but I am not sure it is the full story’ .
‘Can you advise what type of course and setting would best suit our son for sixth form? He has experienced some challenges at his current school and we want to ensure that his next school will be well suited to him’.
‘We are looking for a specialist to work with our teenage daughter to help her feel better understood and supported?’.
