‘The quieter you become, the more you can hear’ is a phrase which underpinned much of my approach to 2024.
Having lost my amazing parents a very short time just before, and after years of working at full speed, this was a year for reflection, shifting foundations, and rebalancing my heart and mind in the face of deep loss.
As someone who is used to spending my life naturally attuned to the needs of others, this was a real change for me and an important one. I learnt a great deal about the beauty of solitude, of quietness and listening in.
This year also coincided with the 4th anniversary of my company Speros Consulting Limited and the transition to working solely in private practice.
My work has continued to evolve in wonderful ways – from continuing to work with new clients around the world and collaborating with leading experts and colleagues on some of my most complex cases yet.
Witnessing young people rediscovering their strengths, parents gaining clarity and confidence, and educators being empowered to better understand and support young people to thrive, continues to be a true privilege and joy.
