My private practice has now been operating for a decade but formalising the mission into a limited company back in 2020 was a big step. Growing a business in a pandemic, on the side of having a young family and a full-time job was no easy feat. But the pull was so intense that it was impossible to ignore. It would be fair to say that I was obsessed with knowing that there was a better way to work with young people and their families. I wanted to create a space where this was truly possible, one where they would be holistically understood, their strengths brought into the light and where they would be empowered to thrive in life and learning.
Highlights over this last year include moving to work solely in the business, receiving enquiries through new referral channels from around the world, collaborating with Hello Magazine, working as part of new leading multi-disciplinary teams, meeting new friends and allies, and taking on some of the most complex and interesting cases yet.
The nature of my work continues to be absolutely bespoke and the number of families I work with continues by choice to be small but my aspirations remain big. I am here to empower, and to enable change through clarity, collaboration and connection. Whether it is with families, schools or colleagues, I always hope that there continues to be a ripple effect of understanding which continues long after our work together has ended.
